The Niger Delta beams with pride as we joyfully celebrate a colossus, an illustrious son of the region, elder statesman, a force to reckon with in the modern-day struggle for the emancipation of the Niger Delta, Elder Timi Kaiser-Wilhelm Ogoriba on his Birthday.

A co-signatory of the historic Kaiama Declaration, foremost Izon and Pan-Niger Delta activist, and the pioneer President of the Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND).

Elder Ogoriba, a towering figure whose name is synonymous with sacrifice, courage, and visionary leadership, is revered as a man of many firsts and a progenitor of the modern-day Ijaw struggle for emancipation.

His life’s work has not only shaped the struggle for fairness, justice, and development in the Niger Delta but continues to inspire generations. Elder Ogoriba’s unwavering commitment and enduring legacy have made him a custodian of the ideals that define the region’s quest for progress.

“Your name, T. K. Ogoriba, is not just a name; it is a living testament to decades of relentless advocacy for the emancipation and development of our people. Your footprints shall remain etched in the sands of our history,” said Dr. Kennedy Tonjo West, President of MOSIEND.

On this special day, MOSIEND salutes his towering legacy and wishes him greater strength, good health, and fulfillment in the years ahead.

Happy Birthday, Sir.
