The Director Energy Security Office of National Security Adviser, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, has paid a familiarisation visit to Joint Task Force Operation Delta Safe South South, accompanied by Maj. Gen. Jamil Sarham (Rtd), CEO New Guard Security and Consultancy services.
He stated that the visit is to familiarize himself with the Joint Task Force Operation Delta Safe, on Sunday.
Our reporter gathered that President Bola Tinubu has appointed Ojukaye Flag Amachree as the new Director of Energy Security in the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
In his new role, Amachree will oversee key national energy security initiatives aimed at enhancing energy security, as well as strengthen community participation in safeguarding Nigeria’s energy resources to support short and long-term energy sustainability.
Amachree will work closely with various stakeholders, including government ministries, security agencies, energy sector regulators, international partners, and community leaders, to implement solutions to Nigeria’s energy challenges.
According to him, “in line with Mr President directive to ensure that we have a production of 2.2 million barrel per day.
” The national security to the president have left no stone unturned that is why he has commission me to ensure that I do everything possible then to achieve the target.
“Yesterday I was with the GOC 6 Division Nigerian Army Port-Harcourt on a courtesy visit and also have a strategic discussion with officers to ensure we achieve the target.
“To we are here in Yenagoa to discuss with OPDS also have same discussion and to pay visit to the Commanding Officer. I we are happy with the response we are getting here,” he said.
He said that his key message is that Nigerians should be very hopeful that the president plan for Nigeria will be achieved by ensuring that we do our own best.
On his part, Maj. Gen. Jamil Sarham (Rtd) said that they are you in the OPDS to introduce the Director and to keep them abreast with their services in the hydrocarbon sector.
He said that the security outfit is created to give a boost in the hydrocarbon sector of the economy.
He said since his appointment he has worked out very hard to ensure that the outfit is domiciled in Port-Harcourt.
