…….Says Nigeria can never be great until it invests in its youth.
The Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu, says his job will be to invest in Nigerian youth if elected into office in February 2023.
Speaking in Lokoja, Kogi state on Thursday afternoon during an interactive town-hall engagement to officially flag off his campaign, Kachikwu said that he is committed to investing in human capital, which he said will help develop the nation.
I am running for President of Nigeria because I am tired of seeing Nigeria not just stagnate but deteriorate as a nation. Our economy is in shambles, our people are becoming more frustrated with each passing day.
The current administration has been unsuccessful in connecting with the youth, who represent the hope for a better future.
Nigeria can never be great until it invests in its youth. The youths are our future and without them, this country will not be great.
I want to encourage every young person out there to ensure they collect their PVCs and vote for the African Democratic Congress come February 2023 and to stop complaining about being cheated or fooled by people with false promises.
The Youth in Nigeria constitute about 60 per cent of the population, which is a tremendous asset. If sufficiently empowered to meet the global challenges of today and tomorrow, there is no doubt that a great tomorrow will be theirs and Nigeria’s.
Though this may sound like a cliché, it is nevertheless true that no country can achieve greatness if it fails to invest in its people.
