CSO commends Inspector General of Police over CSP Adejobi’s appointment as Force Public Relations Officer.

A Civil Society Organization, Centre for Public Accountability (CPA), has commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baba Usman Alkali, over the confirmation of CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, as the 25th Indigenous Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force.

In a statement issued by the organization in Lagos and signed by its Executive Director, Olufemi Lawson, the organization described Adejobi as a brilliant officer with impeccable character, saying that his appointment was well thought out, by IGP Baba Usman Alkali.

According to the statement, the confirmation of CSP Muyiwa Adejobi as the substantive Force Public Relations Officer, is well deserved, considering the depth of his professionalism, Public Relations capacity and the Integrity, he is bringing into his new position, which will ultimately consolidate the vision of the Inspector General of Police, in providing true leadership towards redefining policing in the country.

“We are convinced, that CSP Muyiwa Adejobi possess the needed capacity, towards bridging the communication gap, between Nigerian Police and the citizens, which is a critical need, towards promoting the image of the Force, and building the needed relationship with the citizens, in order to promote peace in the country.”

 

While restating its readiness to work with the IGP Baba Usman Alkali led leadership of the Police force in the country, towards promoting a cordial relationship between the force and Nigerians, particularly the civil society, CPA, urged the IGP, not to relent, in the ongoing efforts, aimed at repositioning the force, for greater performance, which are aimed at ensuring that the force operates in line with global standards of policing.
