The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) SOROH, under the auspices of the Central Naval Command, in collaboration with other security agencies has conducted show of force, in Bayelsa, on Saturday.
The Commander, NNS SOROH, Commodore Omobamidele Akinbami, stated that the aim of the show of force is to check the strength of readiness, preparedness of all the security agencies.
To ensure that the mandate which is to protect lives and properties in Bayelsa is protected.
Our Correspondent reports that the security agencies in the show of force, include the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Army, Police, NSCDC, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Correctional Centre, amongst others.
According to him: “The headquarters has directed the Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH, to carry out a show of force, under the auspices of the CNC.
“This also goes to show to the populate and the peace loving people of Bayelsa State, that the security agencies are here an ready.
“Once the state Governor calls up on us we will be ready to act to ensure that their lives, goods, and properties are protected.
“We are here to ensure that the peace in this state will continue to move through out the whole Nigeria,” he said.
The Commander said that the security agencies in Bayelsa are their to protect the citizens of Bayelsa and all the residents of the State.
He urged the security agencies to be careful as they move around the state capital an her environment, for the show of force.
