5th anniversary SA political congratulate Gov. Diri, says Bayelsa at peace

Chief Collins Cocodia, the Special Adviser to the Governor. on Political Matters, has eulogized his principal, Gov. Douye Diri for his monumental achievements.

As he continues to inscribe his legacies across the entire state with several Infrastructural projects.

In a congratulatory message he signed and issued to newsmen on Friday, Cocodia, described the governor’s five years in office as one of the best moments in the history of Bayelsa.

In terms of political stability, and progressive development across the nook and cranny of Bayelsa.

According to the statement, he noted that since he assumed office in 2020 as the fifth Executive Governor of the state, Douye Diri has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that his coming was ‘Divine’.

The statement reads: “Considering the number of road projects embarked upon by the christened ‘Prosperity Administration’, particularly the continuation of the symbolic Yenagoa-Oporoma road.

“Commencement of the historic Nembe-Brass road, the pioneer Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity reiterates the huge importance of connecting the state capital, Yenagoa, to the Southern Ijaw capital and that of Brass by road.

He commended Diri, for his boldness in embarking on more gigantic, weighty and colossal projects.

“The nine storey Secretariat building, the Ekeremor-Agge road project, and the FIFA standard mega stadium, as all three projects will have their groundbreaking ceremony during the activities marking 5th year anniversary.

“With the 60 megawattz gas turbine electricity project also in the offing as apart of the Prosperity Assured agenda to illuminate the whole of the state.

“Bayelsa will in a matter of months, become the cynosure of all eyes, as the 24 hours constant independent power supply will spur up economic activities and also attract both local and foreign investors to the state, the statement reads.

While congratulating the governor and his Deputy, Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their successful 5th year anniversary in office.

The SA Political, and one time Youth Development Commissioner reaffirmed Diri’s penchant for peace, which has led to political stability and unity among stakeholders of different political parties in the state.

According to him, political actors are now in tandem with the preachings of the Governor, which clamour for togetherness and peaceful coexistence irrespective of party affiliation.

He urge Bayelsa people not to loose sleep over the possibility of completing the numerous ongoing projects across the state embarked by the Prosperity government led by Diri.
