As Ayakoro women offers thanksgiving to God.

The wife of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Ambassador Dr. (Mrs) Amaba Sam-Ogbuku, has advised women to always seek the face of God in every aspect of life.
Mrs Ogbuku, stated this while speaking with Newsmen at this year Ayakoro Community Annual Women Thanksgiving at Ayakoro Community Civic Center,Ayakoro Town in Ogbia Local government area of Bayelsa State.
According to the MD’s wife, it takes a woman to hold a home and a nation, noting that when a mother prays it goes a long way for the lord to answer, while acknowledging that Ayakoro women are in a joyous mood due to God’s enormous blessings.
She said “it’s so joyous in the heart of the people of Ayakoro especially the women having to know that the lord has bless them countless times, hence the need for them to gather together and be praying and thanking God for blessing them beyond what they expected.
“Having giving them a son of the soil to be the MD/CEO of Nigeria Delta Commission,it’s a big thing what else can you ask from God that your land should be bless with such a son, look at the development going on, so they have been praying.
Mrs Ogbuku reiterated the need for thanksgiving and called on women to always reach out to those in need whenever God blesses them.
She further said that thanksgiving is a commandment from God and urged the people of Ayakoro to continue to appreciate God to attract more blessings and express gratitude to the Paramount Ruler of Ayakoro, His Royal Highness Righteous Inegbegha, the Council of Chiefs for attending the Thanksgiving Service.
She also thanked her husband, Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku for supporting the women and the people of the community to organize the thanksgiving service.
Speaking on the theme titled ” The Essence Of Thanksgiving” the General Overseer of Tower of Mercy And Power Ministry Port Harcourt, Pastor Dr. Mercy Dan Kumawe said thanksgiving attract multiplication.
Taken her text reading from Psalm 67:4-7, Pastor Dr.Mercy Dan Kumawe stated that thanksgiving is an act of worship and an opportunity to express appreciation to God for His goodness and mercies upon our lives.
Also reading Revelation 4:4, the vessel of God informed that thanksgiving is a way of fulfilling the commandment of God which grant answers to our prayers.
According to her, the benefits of thanksgiving include; access into the presence of God, Revelation 12:2, release of Mercy of God, cause our enemies to fight against themselves, 2 Chronicles 20:1-20.
She thanked the men of God from various denominations for their presence at the thanksgiving service adding that whenever people gather like this there is flow of various anointing.
She thanked Ambassador Dr.(Mrs.)Amaba Sam-Ogbuku, the women of Ayakoro for giving her the privilege to be the Guest Preacher to convey the word of God and prayed for those with health challenges, and breakthrough for those expecting new things.
Pastor Dan Ebiowa of Omega Fire Ministries prayed for the Managing Director of NDDC, Chief Dr Samuel Ogbuku and his family by proclaiming Exodus 12:13, Psalm 91:16, Ezekiel 3:9 while Pastor ThankGod officiated the giving of offering.
The Thanksgiving Service featured praise and worship, hymns ministration, Ayokoro women ministration and prayers for prosperous new year for the community.
At the reception at same venue, the multiple award winning Bayelsa State Council for Arts and Culture Troupe performed scintillating dance steps and a drama piece.
Mrs.Amaba Sam-Ogbuku donated bags of rice and other gifts worth million of nairas to the women who came from different communities to thank God
In their separate interview, His Royal Highness Righteous Inegbegha, Obanema of Ayakoro congratulated the women for consistently fasting, praying and thanking God. He stated the programme has attracted numerous blessings to the community and urged them to always remember the God factor in their daily lives.
Also speaking, Mrs. Damini Nathan Ogbuku commended the Women Leader of Ayakoro Madam Abaiola Oruama for initiating the thanksgiving and enjoined the people of the community to support her sustain and take the programme to high level.
Dignitaries from different denominations, traditional rulers, political parties including the women leader of APC Bayelsa State, Mrs.Ebiere Akpo bosa, Mummy F among others attended the service.
