on Sunday, hired thugs attack journalist at press briefing organized by the Sagbama Local Government Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, resulting in injuries. Among the injured was Mr. Tife Owolabi, Chairman of the Federated Correspondents’ Chapel, who suffered cuts to his forehead and left hand. Jacobson Park from People’s FM also sustained a hand injury from a flagstaff.
The chaotic scene forced attendees to flee until security forces, including Operation Doo Akpo and the police, restored order.
