You can’t trivilise Gov Yahaya Bello’s achievements with cheap blackmail, group tells Natasha Akpoti

The Middle Belt Conscience Guard (MBCG) has advised former governorship candidate, Natasha Akpoti, to take her campaign of calumny far away from Governor Yahaya Bello, especially when it comes to issues of security.

The group was responding to her claim that the Kogi governor was sponsoring terrorism across the nation.

The People’s Democratic Party’s senatorial candidate for Kogi Central had alleged that Governor Bello was the mastermind of the Owo attack in Ondo State.

However, in a statement signed by Hon. Friday Ochonu, the group’s Secretary General, the MBCG described Akpoti as a big liar who is on drugs and ready to do anything for money.

According to Ochonu, Akpoti’s claim is not only laughable but goes a long way to show that she is mentally unstable and not in tune with reality.

He said Bello is rated as the governor on insecurity for a reason has managed to rid the state of criminal elements, some of whom are Akpoti’s allies.

Ochonu said as a desperate woman seeking political relevance, Akpoti can go to any length to achieve her ambition even if it means at the expense of the peace of Kogi people.

The Middle Belt Conscience Guard, therefore, warned the senatorial hopeful to focus on redeeming whatever is left of her diminishing political career.

It said as the chief executive officer of the state, Bello has the right to raise an alarm as much as it concerns the safety of his people.

Ochonu, however, urged the governor to continue his impressive transformation in Kogi without fear of favour.
