AFCON 2021: NYCN declare support for the Nigeria Team

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) commends the Super Eagle and the entire Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Team for the thorough preparation ahead of the competition, declared unwavering support to the team.
In a statement issued to pressmen by the Vice president of the Council, Ambassador Akoshile Mukhtar in Abuja on the chances of the Nigeria team in the AFCON tournament, the Vice President expressed his confidence that the Super Eagle will have an entertaining and successful outing in Cameroon, owing to the fact that the technical team of the Nigeria Football Federation have mobilized skilful and agile international footballers of Nigeria extract doing exploit in popular clubs around the world.
“The readiness of the Nigeria team excel in the AFCON tournament in Cameroon is not questionable, as it is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that the quality of players that the Nigeria Football Managers have mobilized for the competition despite the reluctancy of the players’ club management is an indication that the Nigeria team is not just ready but formidable enough to conquer other teams in the tournament”
Beyond that, NYCN believes that the Ministry of Youth and Sport Development as well as the Management of the Nigeria Football Federation are always ready to provide the necessary support for the team as the tournament kick off on Sunday 9th of January 2022. Feelers from different quarters shows that the support for the Super Eagle for this tournament would be massive like never before.
“The smooth and rancor free disengagement of the former Super Eagles’ Coach, Gernot Rohr have shown that Mr Sunday Dare and Amaju Pinnick are in agreement of the fact that the good old days of the Super Eagles must be reawakened, thus the duo are ready to provide the team with the required support and more” and thereby declare our total support for the Leadership of the President of the NFF Amaju Pinnick.
Furthermore, the Vice President acknowledged that since football is one of the few centripetal forces anywhere in the world, it would be easy to mobilize support to cheer the team from all over the country. Since the role of supporters (on-site and online) to the performance of football team cannot be overemphasized, the Council would consistently cheer the Super Eagles to come out victoriously in the tournament.
“We have come to realize that international football competition like AFCON is an international relations platform, where promotion of National Interest is essential. The Council would use the opportunity of the tournament to promote the image of Nigeria by supporting the team to win the AFCON cup to defend the innate title of “Giant of Africa” even in Football”
Finally, the Vice President advised the Nigeria team that would be in Cameroon and Nigeria supporters across the world should take ownership of the representative we would be having on the pitch in the AFCON by supporting and cheering them to emerge victoriously in the Campaign.
