Exposed: How Sultan Of Sokoto Works To Secure The Release of Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky.

 

In another series of an exposed hidden case regarding the leader of Shi’at group in Nigeria Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky and his wife thathave gained freedom few month ago, after a long-term legal battle with the government of Kaduna state at Kaduna State High Court.

Another shell of bomb exposes yesterday on how the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar intervened and work very hard to see and secure the release of Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky, the Leader of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria which have gotten serious momentum to the general muslim communities in Nigeria. Especially, when Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky in one of his short lecture extended a message of appreciations and testimony to the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar for standing by his side in the turbulence of six years journey at the prison.

In a media press release by the media aid to Sheik Ibrahim Zakzaky, M Sayyida Suhaila which was obtained by the press explained, how Zakzaky maintain the facts that, he will forever remain grateful and will remember Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar’s helping hand to him, his wife and his supporters at the time of the crisis and during his detention.

Zakzaky said, ” I have to appreciate the effort of Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar for making it possible and trying his best to see me get free from the prison.”

” I have to also admit it here that, Sultan Sa’ad was one of the first respected personality that have apply to see me one in one from the beginning of the crisis, when I was arrested by the government together with late Professor Dahiru Yahaya in Abuja, but the government denied Sultan Sa’ad”.

Recall, In his ruling, Justice Gideon Kurada said the no-case submission filed by El-Zakzaky and his wife was in order and upheld it.

In an alleged culpable homicide, unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace levelled against them by the Kaduna state government, the judge held that the prosecution failed to establish a prima facie case against the defendants on allegations culpable homicide and unlawful assembly.

El-Zakzaky and his wife Zeenat Ibrahim have been standing trial for the past four years on an eight-count charge of alleged culpable homicide, disruption of public peace and unlawful Assembly among others levelled against them by the Kaduna state government.
